Our aim with this ring design was to create something colourful, dynamic, and full of character, to celebrate our vibrant home city of Bristol.

We love making creative ring sets and shaped-to-fit bands, so we knew we wanted the design to be two rings, designed to complement and enhance one another, crafted to snuggle together perfectly. 

The design journey began with the opal. Its striking flashes of colour and distinctive boulder pattern immediately captured our imagination. It reminded us of the Portway, where colourful Bristol houses meet the dramatic, rugged cliffs, as you pass through the Portway and under the striking suspension bridge. 

The ring evolved into a sculptural composition, scattered with sparkling diamonds in the edges like faces of a cliff. We chose an array of colourful gemstones such as pink and orange sapphires, a rich red ruby and a vibrant violet-blue tanzanite to echo and enhance the flashes of colours that dance within the opal.

Above all, we hope this ring set evokes a sense of joy. We wanted to create a piece that feels expressive and full of life, like our city, and that the wearer can feel that same sense of fun every time they look down at their hand.

Dimensions: Size N. Total ring set dimensions: 26mm x 23mm, 6mm band width at back.

Materials: Opal Ring: 4.58ct Boulder Opal, 2mm Tanzanite, 1mm Ruby, 1.2mm Hot Pink Sapphire, 1.5mm pink Sapphire, 1.2mm Peach Sapphire. Lab grown Diamonds in the following sizes: 12x 2mm, 2x 1.8mm, 4x 1.5mm, 2x 1.2mm and 14x 1mm. 9ct Yellow Gold.

Fitted Ring: 5x Tapered baguette cut lab grown Diamonds, 1.8mm hot pink Sapphire, 2mm pink Sapphire, 2.2mm pale pink Sapphire, plus 8x Pink through to orange round Sapphire mix measuring 1.2mm - 1.8mm. 9ct yellow gold
