Our team also specialises in acid etching, allowing you to choose meaningful words and have them etched into various pieces of jewellery - a perfect way to personalise your piece.

We welcome ideas big and small and will work with you to your budget. From re-imagining your treasured heirlooms to creating the perfect engagement ring, we can bring your vision to life, crafting a piece to be treasured for a lifetime.

The Bespoke Process

Step 1

Ideas & Consultation

Begin your bespoke journey with a complimentary consultation at our Bristol gallery. Our designer will talk you through the whole design process, you can discuss your ideas, preferences and budget all within the surrounds of our intimate consultation area. Based on your design ideas, our team will source options for the perfect stone and materials for your custom piece.

Step 2

Design

Once we’ve reviewed your ideas, our jewellers will create a sketch of your bespoke piece, followed by a wax model. This technique allows you to view the design in 3D helping you picture the jewellery, and gives you the chance to make any final changes before we begin crafting.

Step 3

Crafting Your Jewellery

Once we have sourced the perfect stone and finalised the design, we will begin creating your piece at our Bristol workshop. With decades of experience, our goldsmiths will handcraft your design, fusing fine craftsmanship and modern technique to create a piece that we be treasured for years to come.

Step 4

Receive your Bespoke Design

The whole bespoke jewellery process takes between 4-6 weeks, depending on the design. Once your bespoke piece is ready, will be in touch to arrange collection or delivery. We will present your bespoke jewellery to you in a Diana Porter signature box, along with all associated documentation.

How long does it take to create a bespoke piece?

Our current turnaround for bespoke commissions is 4-6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the design.

I love what you do, but I would like to adapt some of your designs. Can I do that?

Yes, due to all our jewellery being handmade, we can adapt designs any way you wish.

What do I do if I don’t know my partners ring size?

Don’t worry, it is very common and can be resolved. If you have a ring from the wearer, you can bring this with you, and we can measure it.

Alternatively, we offer a resizing service on all our rings. Your first resize is free of charge within 30 days of receipt. After this, resizing starts at £35.

Can I pay for my bespoke piece in instalments?

Yes, we offer finance available up to £2,500 or as little as £100. The loan amount can be a part-payment towards an item that costs more than £2,500.

The amount you borrow is then paid back over 10 months in equal instalments – interest free. Click to find out more about our finance option.

How much will a bespoke piece cost?

The prices for Bespoke Jewellery vary depending on your choice of design and the metal and stones used.

We can create a bespoke piece to suit your budget and will recommend the options of gemstone and metals that best fit your budget.

Do you offer lab grown diamond?

Yes, we can also supply lab-grown diamonds as options for you to consider if you wish to look into alternatives to natural mined diamonds.

Do you remodel jewellery?

Yes, we are experts in jewellery remodelling and can breathe new life into older, sentimental pieces of jewellery. We can reuse the materials and reset gemstones to create a piece that better suits your style.
