As a long time supporter and stockist of Natalie's work we were thrilled to include her design in this exhibition. Natalie's refreshing, contemporary take on the traditional signet ring features a whopping 2.03ct Teal Blue Tourmaline which sits encased in an 18ct yellow gold setting.

A key stylistic feature in Natalie's work is the contrasting rich, yellow gold rub over settings against a the hammered, textured silver. Specially selected semi-precious stones in irregular shapes, chequerboard cuts or smooth cabochons are encased in rub over settings in solid gold highlighting each stone.

We particularly love the way Natalie sets sparkling brilliant cut diamonds in pointed Star settings adding layers of dainty details and extra sparkle.

When did your jewellery making journey begin?

When I was 15 years old, I did my work experience at a local jewellers, I worked there for years!

Who inspires you the most? (No rules here, other jewellers, artists or even family & friends)

I’m inspired by women who strive to succeed while still managing the day to day expectations and limitations of society and family life.

How do you work - Please can you tell us a little bit about your creative process?

I’m a bit gem stone obsessed so pieces always start with the stone, I like simplicity and traditional hand making techniques so I day dream of designs to make the most of any chosen stone. I tend to experiment with actual samples rather than a lot of drawing.

Sounds of the Studio - what are you listening to? We’d love to hear about podcasts recommendations/ studio playlists/ the sounds that motivate you?

I LOVE that now I’m working from a studio in my garden I can play music as loud as I like – no neighbours to annoy. I have a very varied music taste depending on my mood. I often listen to late 1990’s house music (showing my age) when I want to motivate myself. Also listening to Jorja Smith, Sade, Raye, Nothing but Thieves and The Cure in more sensible moments.

What’s next for you and your brand?

Building on my celestial collection and perhaps a website redesign to reflect this. More in person shows hopefully.

Which is your favourite piece either historically or from your current collection?

The engraved star set diamonds in the celestial rings – love them.

Finally, for fun, what would be your absolute dream piece to make or person to create for?

I’d love to make a decadent diamond necklace using old cut diamonds and platinum or 18ct yellow gold or both and for it to be worn at the Oscars by someone like Emma Thompson or Kate Winslet.

The exclusive Tourmaline Signet Ring is now sold but please do contact us if you would like to incorporate some of the elements to create something bespoke with Natalie.
