Sue Shields

Sue Shields is an Illustrator living and working in Cardiff. Sue studied a Graphic Communication course and a Contemporary Textile course. When her daughters were young, she made them dolls and stuffed toy animals, an activity that grew into supplying versions of them to Liberty, Heals and Fortnum and Mason.

 Sue hand paints intricate designs onto brooches using a combination of soft and bold colours, bringing her illustrations to material realm. Her artistic background and knowledge inform her creative style, in which she projects onto striking pieces of wearable art.
