The Jewellers

 

Rosalyn 

Ros has been with us since 2015 and is our head jeweller and workshop manager, she designs, creates and finishes our jewellery commissions as well transforming old pieces of jewellery into something new through our remodelling service.  

After graduating from Norwich University, Ros went on complete the Contemporary Jewellery Course at Bristol’s School of Art. Ros is a highly talented jeweller who when not making things happen at the jewellery bench, is working with customers to turn ideas into reality, designing and creating beautifully unique bespoke piece. Ros has her own collection which explores the boundaries between jewellery and textiles, her jewellery is available at our Bristol store.  


Zoya 

Zoya works predominantly on Diana’s popular Fairtrade Gold and Platinum collections, as well as designing one-of-a-kind pieces for our exhibitions. Having worked with Diana from the beginning, her knowledge of the collection is extensive and she is equipt with a wide ranging set of jewellery making skills and techniques

Zoya completed the Contemporary Jewellery Course at Bristol’s School of Art and has over 17 years’ experience in the jewellery industry. Alongside her work at Diana Porter, Zoya also has her own contemporary jewellery collection that we showcase in the shop. 

 

Lindy

Lindy joined us in 2021, working alongside Ros in our precious team as a Senior Goldsmith. Lindy started making beaded jewellery as a childhood hobby, the passion later shaped her career, and she went on to study Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery at the University for the Creative Arts in Rochester. Her background in luxury jewellery gave her the extensive experience that has been invaluable since her move to Diana Porter. She enjoys creating sentimental pieces and helping clients celebrate and mark an important moment in their life.   

 

Jack 

Jack is our silversmith creating our shop orders, he enjoys adding the final details that elevate the designs, such as setting diamonds and engravings. Whilst growing up he always thrived in creative subjects. Jack then studied Graphic Design at University, which broadened his approach by working within different artistic specialisms. 

Hannah 

Hannah became part of the Diana Porter team in 2012 and during her time has progressed through various departments. Her expertise covers all aspects of the business from guiding customer along the design process through to making our collections. Hannah built her knowledge during a BA in Metalwork and Jewellery from Sheffield Hallam University. She now supports the silver team on the making of our collections, handles bespoke enquiries and supports the precious team. Away from her bench Hannah works on her own contemporary collection that is available to view in our Bristol gallery.    

 

Joe

Joe is an established member of the Silver jewellery team, creating pieces from Diana’ s silver collections. He ensures a smooth day-to-day running of the workshop and coherent workflow alongside overseeing the preparation of our jewellery for specialist finishes such as Fairmined gold-plating. 

Upon completing a Fine Art degree at Loughborough University, Joe stayed on to do an Artist Residency. Here, he expanded his creative skills by completing a Jewellery course in Birmingham’s prestigious jewellery quarter. He came to Diana Porter shortly after in 2021; he most enjoys working within a team of jewellers, helping to develop new ideas for upcoming collections whilst gaining new skills. 

 

Finn 

A key member of the silver jewellery team, Finn makes many of the pieces from Diana’s collections as well as refinishing your beloved jewellery to give it a new lease of life. Finn also works in the gallery on Saturdays, assisting with workshop queries and helping customers to find their special piece of jewellery. 
Finn studied Metalwork at West Dean College of Arts and Conservation. He learnt a broad range of metalworking techniques that he has been able to apply more specifically to jewellery, whilst honing his craft through various jewellery short course across Devon and West Dean. Finn enjoys the variety of making in this job, with a particular interest in working on the final touches that makes the jewellery so special.    

Gabriel   

Following BA Fine Art studies in Bristol, Gabes joined the Diana Porter team in 2009 whilst simultaneously pursuing Silversmith Jewellery at Wiltshire College. Learning a deep understanding of the gallery, and behind-the-scenes workshop activities, Gabes expanded her expertise by practising Gemmology at London's renowned Gemological Association of Great Britain - This experience provided valuable insights into the characteristics and qualities necessary for handling precious stones and heirloom pieces for design remodelling.

Having worked closely with Diana for many years, Gabes acquired first hand skills in the finishing touches for commissioned jewels, particularly in Di's signature etching style. Today, she continues this personal and technical etch process for specialist silver pieces, drawing on her extensive knowledge of the collections, design spec, wax modifications for casting, diamond setting, and working on the creative development of silver pieces. Beyond the bench at Diana Porter, Gabes explores within her own jewellery the surrounding ritual landscape of which she grew up in.
