Elsa Tierney Silver De Lempicka Ring
“I feel we are all drawn to faces somehow, perhaps because we feel a connection and familiarity to a distinctive style.”
Elsa creates Sculptural jewellery inspired by art and reminiscent of lost treasures in her London based studio. Inspired by the artists of 1930’s Paris & Art Deco jewellery, each of her face rings has its own character and individual story. Trained in jewellery making with a degree in Fine Art at Sir John Cass & Guildhall University, Elsa incorporates influences of modern art and combines them with traditional methods of jewellery making.
Specialising in wax carving, a practice used for both jewellery making and sculpture and based on an ancient process called Lost Wax Casting. Elsa likes to explore different avenues of working with wax, creating an alternative approach to jewellery making that encompasses her passion for fine art and sculpture.
A silver face ring inspired by the women whom Tamara De Lempicka painted in Paris in the early 1900’s. Delicately hand carved, this ring has a luxurious feel to it, through the unique texture and polished finish.
